A Birthday Photoshoot for My Cat

Muffin is 15! I wanted a photo challenge. So I did a birthday photoshoot for my cat. 🐱 🎉

Muffin is great in front of cameras. She has been the subject of many photos since my very first point-and-shoot camera. - That doesn't mean she wasn't confused by the whole ordeal.

To get her attention I used a laser pointer, some catnip and her favorite sunshine spot.

Smile

My favorite thing to capture is a smile. There are so many different kinds of smiles and they each say something different. Or maybe I've just watched Lie To Me too many times. 😜

I also appreciate friends who don't mind spontaneous weekend photoshoots.

Naomi and Piper Go On An Adventure

For my photography class with Dr. Kluck I had to tell a story with photos. Naomi (my sister) and Piper have an adorable relationship. Piper is Naomi's therapy dog. She helps her stay calm when things get stressful, and encourages her when she is sad. I wanted to capture their relationship. I took them out to Two Rivers Park and for the most part, just followed them around

Tumblr is a magical social media platform that has taught me so much about the internet, humor and fandoms. Here are a few of my favorite Tumblr posts that I have saved over the past few years. 

This post is organized by my 6 favorite things about Tumblr. 

**A few of these posts contain profanity.**

1. When users take posts where they want, regardless of where the post started.
What started as a simple question or discussion is now unrelated cultural references and sarcasm. 

2. Relatable posts. 
Nothing is better than knowing that someone out there gets it. 

3. The gold mine of intellectual humor. 
Our ancestors did not have the outlet to share these brilliant ideas that would otherwise be useless. 

ANIMALS TALKING IN ALL CAPS

4. A place where intellectual minds can gather and ask the REAL questions.
... and actually get answers. 

What happens when you drug spiders? 

5. Finding an opportunity to make a joke, and taking it. 

It's all about perspective. 

6. The female population can unite over the simple issues.
